At the May CAF meeting, members agreed to go ahead with the project that Laura presented, if it could be funded. The three Whitburn and Marsden councillors – Tracey Dixon, Sylvia Spraggon and Peter Boyack asked Mr Brian Hoyle, chairman of Whitburn Residents' Association to try to help raise some of the £32,000 required to build a play area next to Kitchener Road in Whitburn. :D

Brian Hoyle, chairman of Whitburn Residents' Association, has raised £15,600 towards the £32,000 cost of the proposed play area. Amongst the local businesses and charitable Trusts that have contributed are, Owen Pugh, Barbour, Hadrian, Greggs, Sunley, Willan and Willan Charitable Trust and The Rothley Trust. Well done Brian. :D
